Everyone knows that it’s very possible to lose weight and get shot of excessive amounts of fats by diet alone. Weight control is tough but can still be achieved by trying a diet but the plain fact is that weight loss is more complicated than not eating, or just eating the correct foods.
Whilst it’s right that we are what we eat, getting rid of unwanted fat and being able to successfully lose weight is more than just eating correct foods. Weight control is equally as much about using calories as it is about limiting the calorie intake. The real issue is the basic equation that weight loss is the simple difference between calories consumed and calories burnt.
If you don’t exercise then the sole way to lose weight is to regulate your diet. So exercise adds an extra dimension to your weight reduction. When thinking about exercise and diet, the best weight loss results are achieved when the two disciplines work together instead of separately. Your exercise routines are used to burn extra calories whilst your diet is used to provide your body with the proper protien and fuel.
Weight loss and losing inches are not the same. Exercise will work your muscles and will burn excess, but muscle weighs more than fat and occupies less space in your body. So when you start to exercise you are likely to see your fat starting to disappear, but your weight stay the same. This is only a short term issue as before long you are likely to also begin to lose weight.
When you combine exercise and a careful diet you can create superb weight loss results and lose weight in a way that is better than just dieting or only exercising. Exercise doesn’t just mean the formal classes, it can include golf, walking, dancing, any sport or perhaps walking up stairs or house work. Try dancing up the stairs house at the same time as you clean.
